Mujhe to us ka malaal tha, woh juda hua tha
Use bhi us ka malaal kyun hai, ye sochta hoon.

اگر جدائی کی لذتیں ہی عزیز تر ہیں
تو مجھ کو فکرِ وصال کیوں ہے، یہ سوچتا ہوں

Agar judai ki lazzatein hi azeez tar hain
To mujh ko fikr-e-visaal kyun hai, ye sochta hoon.

مرے فسانے عوام کو بھی پسند کیوں ہیں
ترے کرم کا کمال کیوں ہے، یہ سوچتا ہوں

Mere fasane awaam ko bhi pasand kyun hain
Tere karam ka kamaal kyun hai, ye sochta hoon.

اگر محبت میں سارے رشتوں کی عظمتیں ہیں
تو دشمنی کا سوال کیوں ہے، یہ سوچتا ہوں

Agar mohabbat mein saare rishton ki azmatein hain
To dushmani ka sawaal kyun hai, ye sochta hoon.
